Mudcutter
We are Mudcutter, a posthardcore/hardcore outfit from northern NJ looking to play everywhere and anywhere to move rooms with our music. If you love everything from Jimmy Eat World to Quicksand to Hum to Tool, you will love our sound. We are looking to connect with the people in the room and move them with us while doing what we do.
Mudcutter started in northern NJ with guitarist/vocalist Olaf Alverson, drummer Ethan Michalko, and guitarist/vocalist Drew Kmec in early February of 2024. Shortly after with the addition of bass player and long time friend of Ethan's, Logan Bennett, Mudcutter wrote their initial two singles "Grounded" and "Insensible". We came together and put all of our favorite bands and their sounds in a blender to create Mudcutter.
Since then we played a sold out show at the Sherman Showcase in Stroudsburg PA, made lots of new friends at The Rock Shack in Sommerville NJ, packed The Sanctuary in Butler NJ, had the honor of playing at Cinco de Mayo in New Brunswick NJ and we just released our first self-titled EP and are working on another at the same time. We are ready to take our EP and test it with crowds all around the tri-state area. In April we will be playing a show Philadelphia with philly hardcore veterans Grey C.E.L.L. at the Latvian Society.
